Are you an expert in DNS?

1. The internet uses IP addresses locate and send information to certain devices so devices can communicate with each other.

2. We don't need to know IP addresses because the DNS servers convert the URL's you search up into IP addresses. So we don't need to know the IP addresses just the URL of what you are searching for.

3. We need a Domain Name System because without the use of it searching for a specific website you want to look up will be difficult unless you have the IP of said website. With the DNS its much easier to find what you are looking for on the internet.

4. We all don't maintain our own Domain Name System because if we did there will be an overload of DNS which will cause problems. So we don't all need our own Domain Name System.

5. No because the DNS work together to sort and provide webpages the user desires. If there were one main DNS for the entire internet it would take forever to process the information all over the internet to find what the user exactly wants.

6. These DNS servers are maintained with the help of all of them together. All DNS servers help process the information together which will result in faster results and little confusion.

7. DNS servers are vulnerable because it is public and can be used by anyone who has access to the internet. This vulnerability is attacked by hackers who can hack into the DNS servers and do certain things that will benefit themselves.

8. The implications of an attack on the DNS servers are that information from certain webpages can be taken. It can be personal information like login passwords. This affects my life negatively because some times I save my passwords on the webpage since I forget my passwords some times, this can leave we vulnerable to hackers.
