In the recent article "Singapore teaches its seniors to code" by Aloysius Low it discusses how libraries in Singapore played host to a special verison of the "Hour of Code" event. But instead of only kids particapting in this event people aged 50 or older learned how to code with the help of a student volunteer. The event was part of a initiative by Singapore's government to help senior citizens get caught up to the speed of technology. This overall is very helpful to Singapore's community since now most senior citizens we now understand some basic computer language. I think that this initiative is a very positive and great thing to do because with this special event maybe even my mom and dad can learn a bit of coding.
