CTE Expo 2018

The CTE Expo was an event for the CTE academy's including Web Design, and Video to show the new freshman in the school all about the academy's and what the students will do in the academy if they choose to join it. I prepared for the Expo by dressing up in appropriate business attire and finishing my game and updating my website so freshman can view it.It is important because it will help the freshman to view new classes they might be intrigued in and they can also learn skills they will acquire if they join the academy they chose. What happened during the CTE Expo of 2018 was each period a freshman class will come and visit the CTE class so they can learn about it, students in the CTE class participated in the event by talking to the freshman and sharing their own experiences in the class to them. What I did during the Expo was walk around and look for freshman who seem to be lost and help them by explaining Web Design and help them learn all their choices before making a decision in joining a CTE academy.
One thing that went well in the CTE Expo was that some of the students in the academy were engaging to talk to more of the freshman. The students of the academy chose to talk to the freshman to help them understand what the academy is all about. An example is Nathan he showed excellent people skills and helped other academy students explain things to freshman. I felt proud of Web and all my classmates as we are improving are skills and displaying them during the Expo. One thing that can be improved on is the volume of our voices because if we projected our voices more we would catch more of the freshman attention. We can do this by stop being nervous but instead to be proud of being in the WEB ACADEMY!
